Hi folks,
As said in other post I manage to install Aurora 2.99 (but with
those image from corona directory) in my Ultra 10.
Now I was dealing with yum repository in order to install some
more packages and also extra packages.
However, it seems to me - please, correct if I am wrong - those
files at /etc/yum.repos.d are not ok. They point to some URL's that give
"404-Not found" to me. In order to correct the URL's I made the following
changes in order to yum to work properly:
1) /etc/yum.repos.d/aurora-core.repo
[core]
....
baseurl=http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/aurora/build-$releasever/os/
# The mirror list that comes with Aurora installation does not work
#mirrorlist=http://auroralinux.org/aurora-$releasever
enable=1
....
[core-debuginfo]
....
enable=0
....
[core-source]
....
baseurl=http://aurora.fedoramirror.net/pub/aurora/build-$releasever/source/SRPMS/
# The mirror list that comes with Aurora installation does not work
#mirrorlist=http://auroralinux.org/aurora-$releasever-source
# I also had to disable the core-source because there is no repodata for
it .... ?!?
enabled=0
....
2) /etc/yum.repos.d/aurora-development.repo
....
# For all tags .... after all, I want some stability right now.
enable=0
....
3) /etc/yum.repos.d/aurora-extras-development.repo
....
# For all tags "enable=0" .... after all, I want some stability right now.
enable=0
....
4) /etc/yum.repos.d/aurora-extras.repo
[extras]
name=Aurora Extras $releasever - $basearch
baseurl=http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/aurora/extras/corona/$basearch/
# The mirror list that comes with Aurora installation does not work
#mirrorlist=http://auroralinux.org/aurora-extras-$releasever
enabled=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-aurora-extras
gpgcheck=0
[extras-debuginfo]
name=Aurora Extras $releasever - $basearch - Debug
#baseurl=http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/aurora/extras/$releasever/$basearch/debug/
mirrorlist=http://auroralinux.org/aurora-extras-$releasever-debug
enabled=0
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-aurora-extras
gpgcheck=1
[extras-source]
....
# I also had to disable the core-source because there is no repodata for
it .... ?!?
enabled=0
....
5) /etc/yum.repos.d/aurora-updates.repo
....
# For all tags "enable=0" .... after all, there is still not updates
available. But I am not sure if there were, the URL's were correct.
enable=0
....
Sorry bothering you guys, but I really think Aurora Linux is so
great that, IMHO, those details are keeping Aurora to be adopted widely
and so gain some more developers and applications. And they are ....
details.
Best regards.
